“It’s Gooooood to be Here” at Knight Broadcasting after a 30 year stint in local radio.
I actually started my radio career in 1978 at KLOM in Lompoc, a station that no longer exists.(not my fault!) Some of my proudest accomplishments in radio include being able to stay in my hometown, all my life, and bringing news and entertainment to my longtime friends. I have also enjoyed broadcasting local sports for over 30 years. I twice earned the Associated Press Award as “Best Play-By-Play” announcer in California, Nevada and Hawaii. I have covered all local High Schools as well as Allan Hancock College. I graduated from Santa Maria High School in 1976.
I am currently the host of the “Afternoon Drive at Five” on AM-1440 KUHL and handle the mid-day shift from 10 am - 3 pm on KRAZY Country 105.9 FM. I am proud to be from the most beautiful place on the planet. My wife Kathy and I have been happily married since 1989.
